The Chronicles of Kale Breath of Light Book 3 eBook Aya Knight

Throughout book 1 and 2 there are numerous - "I'll explain later moments" Most of which never get explained later.

The most striking example is Lox. In book 2 Neelan wars with her love for Kale and the man who stirs her passions, Lox. Using the control Lox has over Neelan (she is apparently incapable of telling him "no" or "stop", or using her brain), he betrays her and gives her over to the antagonist to be tortured and perhaps more (the antagonist likes to rape women)....many women. When Lox is named a traitor by Kale, Thomas says he's not and ...the dreaded ...I will explain later.

The promised explanation never comes

When next we see Lox, Neelan's seducer and betrayer.... Lox is a hero and everyone is best friends. As a matter of fact, he refers to Neelan and Kale as "My friends" Which would be fine, if there was some explanation or interaction between. Lox goes from Neelan's suitor to betrayer, to best buddy, without a word of dialog, conflict or conflict resolution between.

This is a issue because most of Book 3 is kind of a Neelan rehab project but because the issues from book 2 are never addressed or explained (as promised by Thomas), I found no reason to care what happened to her, felt no emotion when things happened to her good or bad. I kept waiting for her reunion with the only man to drive her passion....Lox.

The Chronicles of Kale Breath of Light Book 3 eBook Aya Knight Reviews

Enjoyed the Fantasy worlkd of this author
I must say, I liked the first book a lot. I liked the idea, and it was a fun read. But the second and third books bothered me. Kale seems to get more belligerent and, frankly, stupid. He is obsessed with his elf girlfriend to the point of being detrimental to her. He always tells people to stay away from her or he will kill them. Even if she's poisoned or injured. The main characters seem to think less and less as the story progressed. That annoyed me so much throughout the second and third books. And the words used in sentences were odd. It seemed to be awkward and unnatural. It would have been better if the author wrote like she was speaking normally instead of using long words that made the sentences clunky and hard to follow.
I loved reading The Chronicles of Kale Breath of light. It had a lot of surprises and sadness at losing main characters . The end was so good . Thank you very much
I read all three books in sequence and did not review the first two. Now I want to say that I loved your stories and I am sad it is over and glad that it had a great ending. Your story was exciting, suspenseful. I truly enjoyed these stories. Please accept my thanks and continue entertaining us.
What a GREAT story line - Very similar to other stories with Dragons, but this story line has a few twists that I truly loved.

It is a great read and I recommend this to anyone! I love to read books that I don't have to reread to move on and this book keeps your interest without having to go back and read the last few pages to understand it.
I love the young adult fantasy genre and author Aya Knight has created some amazing reading with her "The Chronicles of Kale" series. "Breath of Light" is the third book in this series and doesn't disappoint. I found it to be a good book with some twists I didn't see coming. The end blew me away (I cried, I smiled, there was a lot of emotion!) Also, as Neelan being one of my favorite characters, I did like how she shined in this book. For me personally, it showed how she's grown throughout the story. A recommended series for sure.
Book three takes off like a rocket, blowing through scenes and events rapidly. Character names are tossed about in a way that can be confusing and hard to keep track of, with character decisions occasionally not flushed out in a satisfactory way. Rest assured the story has that happily ever after ending one comes to expect in fantacy. Over all the chronicles of Kale is not bad, though it fails to innovate in a way that lets it stand apart. Character back storys are generally rushed, and the rules for magic in this world are never really explained adequately enough for me to have an accurate understanding. The cheese factor gets turned all the way up to eleven at times with some very generic romantic dialogue. Still, I was kept invested in the narrative enough to finish the series. I can still reccomend this to any fantacy reader as a read between reads, more especially for teenagers.
